Kilburn Infant and Nursery School

Welcome to Kilburn Infant & Nursery School!  We are a middle sized Derbyshire County Council Infant & Nursery School, with approximately 100 full-time children aged 5 - 7 years. We have three purpose equipped buildings, Nursery, Reception, Key Stage One, and extensive grounds around the school.

We also provide childcare & education to children from the term after they are 3 years old in our Nursery. We offer 15 'Universal' hours in the mornings, or 30 full-time hours, or 'pay-as-you-go' afternoons. Children attending Nursery in the mornings can also bring a packed lunch and stay for the afternoon.

We aim to provide a secure and welcoming environment, where all children are valued as individuals, so they gain in self-confidence.

We provide a broad curriculum within the framework of the National Curriculum and Early Years Foundation Stage.

Our ethos is ‘Excellence and Enjoyment’ - High academic standards combined with enjoyment that makes children want to come to school!

We also place high priority on physical activity, health and well being, to help each child to fulfill their potential.
